Setting up the Grandstream door system
For this, we will be using the following devices:
1 x Grandstream GDS3710
1 x Grandstream GSC3570
We'll start with the GDS3710 . First of all, determine the MAC address of the device - this will be on the back of the device. In my case, it ends in 82:0D.
We will then need to figure out what the assigned IP address is , so we will login to our internet router. In this case, let's say the IP address of my internet router is 192.168.1.1.
I'll go to the DHCP status page and figure out what the IP address of my GDS3710 is:
So we'll open https://192.168.1.128 in a web browser. First time logging in, username will be admin and the password will be whatever is on the factory provided password (See the device attached sticker).
First of all, we will add a new SIP account.
We will need to get the credentials from https://multitel.net/hpbx/extensions
Then visit the GDS3710 web page and populate the settings under Account / Account 1.
I won't go through the SIP username/password/proxy settings, those should be straight forward.
Make sure you select Stream 2 and set NAT Transversal to Auto:
